In the monotheist religions of the Christians and the Muslims (as well as the Jews), they have the same God - the god of Abraham (how these religions evolve later should not come to issue). This God actually has no name but people have felt that they are uncomfortable with not assigning a name to Him.

Translated from the earlier forms of Hebrew (which was a simple language with limited letters), it was YHWH. Later, it became Yahweh (because westerners have found it hard to pronounce something without vowels) and the westernised name later became Jehovah.

To the Muslims, God is Allah. But to quote Shakespeare, "a rose by any other name, would smell as sweet".

Therefore, God is still God by any name (and there is no need to equate) that you call Him and do not harp o­n the fact that Allah is the Muslim God and the Christians have a different o­ne.

Religious intolerance is for small-minded people, and HF has missed Michelle's point in her letter .

If o­ne religion is so good and perfect, it should have no fear of other religions. Masses of people will still embrace a religion if it is the best o­ne around. It is o­nly when people feel insecure that they have to resort to other tactics to undermine other religions.

In this case, even when there is o­nly o­ne language in the world, there would still be intolerance. By the same line of thought, even if there is o­ne race, o­ne language, o­ne religion, and o­nly o­ne God, there would still be intolerance.

The God we are talking about created people who fit all those criteria and yet brother killed brother and soon the world was in chaos.

So, spare some time to think and reflect instead of writing because there is a need to fill your time.
