MTUC and NUTP are examples of 'yellow' (as opposed to red) unions. Yellow unions are soft o­n corruption within the government and their own house.

Yellow unions have leaders who are hypocrites who do not practice what they preach. They are also cowardly and compromising towards an oppressive and dictatorial government.

These unions deserve to be shut down, and genuine democrats among the members should form new unions with the true interest of their constituents at heart.

Red union leaders are humble and austere. They live by principles and practice what they preach. They speak out against injustice by the government and the corporate sector. They believe in democracy and freedom of speech.

It is time for we workers and teachers to destroy the cancer-stricken MTUC and NUTP and form new unions out of their ruins.

Revolution is what we need. Crush the bourgeois oppressors within our unions.
