I refer to my email to MAS recently and the recent report about MAS food and beverage manager Zahiddin Dris stating that Chef Wan’s complaints about the ‘naked nasi lemak’ on Feb 3 was a one-off incident .

This is a blatant lie and an utter disgrace to MAS, Malaysia, and Malaysians! Referring to my email below (which has yet to be addressed), MAS is obviously still serving ‘naked nasi lemak’.

I urge MAS to rectify this immediately, and the media to highlight MAS’ blatant lie to the public and the importance and implications of the issue, especially since this is Visit Malaysia Year. The whole world is focusing on Malaysia, and our ‘national carrier’ is serving our guests ‘naked nasi lemak’!

The ministry should also look into this seriously, and hold MAS accountable for the damages done to our reputation as a nation and as a people.

If there is one thing Malaysians take great pride in, it is our food, and the nasi lemak has long been an ‘ambassador’ of Malaysian culture and pride throughout the world. Malaysia Airlines, please do not take this away from us.

This ‘peanuts’ issue might seem like peanuts, but like I mentioned in my e-mail below, it is the small things like this that make or break the experience of tourists coming to Malaysia.

Salam En Ahmad Jauhari,

I hope this email finds you well.

I would just like to express my disappointment and embarrassment upon flying MAS this morning.

After the debacle caused by MAS’ naked nasi lemak as highlighted by Chef Wan, I would have thought MAS would have done something about it. This morning on a MAS flight Kuching - Kul, it seems that your nasi lemak is still as naked as ever!

Honestly, MAS is on a downward spiral, please don't further humiliate our ‘national dish’ as Malaysians have been humiliated by our ‘national airlines’.

Your urgent action on this simple matter is much appreciated - all you have to do is say the word.

As the saying goes - it’s not the elephant that kills you in the jungle, it’s the ants.

TQ.

Best regards,

Amin
