I read with approval the decision of the police and regulatory authorities to clamp down on pornography, gambling and prostitution.

Without doubt, these societal illnesses must have been the root cause of Malaysia's problems, especially compared to trifles such as the fabrication of evidence against ISA detainees and political figures; physical and mental abuse of persons in police custody; amazing numbers of shootings by police; endemic police bribery; laughably low judicial standards; substandard, opaque and dishonest governance; incredible delays in voter registration; the culture of political cronyism; one-sided mainstream media; and petulant displays of censorship by the government.

No doubt these unimportant afflictions will magically vanish once the true evils of porn, gambling, and hookers are dealt with
