In deference to our Prime Minister's insightful comments at the Umno general assembly about nasty imperialist Europeans out to re-colonise the world, including possibly Malaysia, I would like the government to withdraw immediately from the Five Power Defence Agreement (FPDA) and the on-going combined military exercises in the South China Sea involving Malaysia, Singapore, Britain, Australia and New Zealand.

If there is any European state mechanism which represents unvarnished imperialism and a threat to our sovereignty and independence, it is the military forces of Britain, Australia and New Zealand.

After all, like the Prime Minister said, "we need to know the Europeans well for our fate, our lives will depend on how we interact with them".

The former two, as many of us are always reminded, are undoubtedly little more than the

Commonwealth bullyboys of the United States. What are we doing cavorting with these Europeans?

Should not our mighty military be chasing them out of Malaysian waters instead? Are not their sneaky European military captains enviously spying on our successes as a nation on behalf of their imperialist-minded political masters?

Indeed, I am surprised the Prime Minister failed to announce Malaysia's withdrawal from this overtly imperialistic military treaty at the recent Umno general assembly. This surely must be an oversight.

But, better to pull out now than never, no? Otherwise, there is the real danger that the words and vision of our great leader might be undervalued, even belittled by those European powers for being "racist" statements, and politically opportunistic ones at that.

In order to fill the military defence-vacuum once we are out of the FPDA, and in order to protect ourselves from any 'future threats' posed by the USA, Britain, Australia and New Zealand, I suggest we enter into a new South-South FPDA with Zimbabwe, Cuba, Burma and China.

The leaders of these countries, like our beloved Dr Mahathir, have consistently demonstrated their South-South like-mindedness and principled determination to stand up against those dastardly neo-colonial Europeans. We will be in the good company then. All 'goodfellas'.
