I am a Malaysian citizen living in England. I understand that the Election Commission is in the middle of its registration process. I have been trying to get myself registered on the electoral roll.

I called up the Malaysian High Commission here and they have told me that they used to receive forms from Malaysia but for the current registration drive, they have had no guidance and no forms from Malaysia and so are not able to do anything. I wrote to the Election Commission two months ago but have yet to get a reply to my enquiry.

I am therefore helpless and from my conversation with the relevant officer at the Malaysian High Commission, I understand that I am not the only Malaysian citizen here who is enquiring about getting registered.

If malaysiakini could publish this letter and hopefully the relevant officials in charge could get back to me, I would be grateful.
