The Pakatan Selangor government is clearly inefficient as for the past six years they have failed to properly maintain their roads and to set up traffic lights at dangerous junctions. Not only that, they had even dared to push the blame to BN, and this has caused the people in Kajang to be severely affected by this, leaving them to wonder: “Why has nothing changed after six years?”

It is clear that Pakatan has no intention in helping to resolve the problems faced by the people of Kajang in their daily lives, because when MCA had decided to raise these issues, they had chosen to criticise us as ‘longkang MPs’.

However, Pakatan should reflect upon their own criticisms first, as it is the responsibility of an elected representative to serve the people, resolve local problems, and come up with development plans for the constituency. If Pakatan is unable to commit themselves to these tasks, they should then step down and allow others who are more capable to take their place.

Teng Chang Kim insulting Chew Mei Fun’s honour

Those like DAP Sungai Pinang assemblyperson Teng Chang Kim should have known better than to make fun of MCA candidate Chew Mei Fun by saying that she loves to inspect drains and wash toilets. His offer to appoint Chew as a local councillor if she withdraws her candidacy within 48 hours, is also insulting and degrading to her dignity.

Teng has displayed his arrogance by this offer. Pakatan leaders are always talking about bringing change, yet when they see someone who is willing to serve the people, they go around making fun of them. Is this the sort of attitude that they believe can bring about change for the country?

Pakatan takes voters for granted

Pakatan must be aware that they cannot always win automatically, and should not take the voters’ support for granted. This will only cause the people to be disappointed and tire of their irresponsible attitude.

The Kajang by-election from the outset has always been to resolve PKR’s internal party problems. When PKR de factor leader Anwar Ibrahim was convicted of sodomy, PKR then turned this by-election into an issue of injustice, corruption, power abuse and extremist politics.  

In their campaigns, Pakatan leaders have kept silent on livelihood issues affecting the people of Kajang, such as traffic congestions, poor road conditions, and uncollected rubbish. They have never responded to any questions on these issues, yet they still believe that they can win the by-election through sympathy votes over Anwar’s court ruling.

Thus, I urge on the voters of Kajang to see for themselves the true face of Pakatan, and to avoid from being pawns in PKR’s political game, by choosing to vote for leader who is sincere in helping them.
