This is the season to be merry or shall we say flag crazy. First, we have our tourism minister equating patriotism with flying the flag.

And I wish to ask the honourable minister how we should go around flying the flag. Would a bigger flag make you more patriotic? Or would many flags wrapped around your car or truck make you more patriotic? Never mind the fact that the flying flags can endanger road users.

As it is the norm, all we need is someone with a smart idea, and others will soon follow with their ideas on how to get people to fly the flag.

And true enough, the Selangor menteri besar is thinking of legislating a state law to fly the flag. Then we have Entrepreneur Development Minister Mohd Nazri Aziz coming on with the idea of penalising public vehicles operators if the flag is not flown. I will wait and see if there are anymore suggestions.

I have a question to ask of these wakil rakyat . Don't they have any thing better to do?
