In the malaysiakini article, ' Pastor exhorts Christians to be active in politics ', I was misquoted as saying "the political arena is also a route towards salvation".

What I actually said was that after a person experiences salvation through Jesus Christ, he/she ought to be actively involved in the transformation of society. One of the ways to achieve this transformation is through participation in politics.

I also need to set the record straight that the two politicians I invited were politicians who worship regularly at Georgetown Baptist Church. They were not invited because they were opposition politicians.

Moreover, they were not invited to give a talk but rather were interviewed as to how they aspire to live as effective Christian politicians.
