Although I can understand the hopelessness expressed in the letter from Wenyah, Sydney, Australia, I find his solution somewhat defeatist.

We still hold elections (of some sort), and it is every adult citizen's duty, and not merely right, to use his or her vote to choose the best party or coalition to lead the government, for the good of all Malaysians.

If the present team is not performing in accordance with our aspirations and expectations, we should not hesitate to vote for a new one in the next general election.

We deserve the government we get, because we vote them into power. A responsible use of one's right to vote - now that's real patriotism.
