Terengganu MCA totally opposes PAS’s hudud law
Terengganu MCA strongly opposes the implementation of the Syariah Criminal Law (Hudud and Qisas) Enactment 2003. DAP and PKR must not pawn the future of non-Muslims in its blind quest for power by acceding to PAS’s hudud law.
PKR vice-president Tian Chua has allegedly confirmed that the Pakatan Rakyat supreme council meeting did agree to implement PAS hudud law in Kelantan and Terengganu, thus confirming PAS president Hadi Awang’s statement earlier on the Pakatan supreme council’s agreement to enforce PAS hudud law to be absolutely true.
Terengganu MCA strongly objects to the implementation of PAS’s hudud law unto non-Muslims as it is against the rights and interests of non-Muslims. Furthermore, such religious-based criminal laws will also result in Terengganu being divided between Muslims and non-Muslims, and the destruction of the nation’s secular system which forms the basis of our Independence. It will be the point of no return.
During the recent 13th general election, non-Muslim DAP and PKR leaders falsely assured non-Muslims by whitewashing PAS, claiming that PAS hudud law would never be enforced on them. However, not even a year after the general election, PAS remains bent on imposing PAS’s hudud law while DAP and PKR are not standing up to oppose it.
The exposed agreement from the Pakatan supreme council meeting on the implementation of PAS’s hudud law clearly reveals that DAP and PKR have indeed pawned non-Muslims with empty promises.
