Beh Lih Yi's article on MASKargo was a very interesting reading. Shah Alam MP Mohd Zin Mohamed is denying his role in the entire scam.

While he is denying his involvement here in Malaysia, the governor of Bangladesh Bank, that is the central bank of Bangladesh, issued a notice to Silkways that their licence to remit monies due to MAS is to be pulled.

This decision was based on the complaint that we raised. It was reported by the Daily Star of Bangladesh. Attached is also another Daily Star report , in which the facts will speak for themselves.

I deliberately did not expose all documents in my possession - which by the way are certified papers, ledgers and agreements from Silkways and MAS - in my first affidavit, in the hope that Mohd Zin, as a parliamentarian would come clean and step down respectably to restore confidence in our parliament. That was my 'ulterior motive'.

But he seems to want to hide the truth, and now wants to sue me for defamation, while in Bangladesh, his company Silkways is being prosecuted for various offences!

The court documents were filed and served immediately on MAS. There was also attempts to serve on Mohd Zin at his home but he was not there. He was in parliament but we were not allowed in as it was Budget Day. So it was sent by registered post. Once a document has been filed into court, the public is entitled to know.

I will hope that sense will prevail and honesty will be the order of the day. Denial will necessitate my revelation of all documents and proof, which will then be extremely difficult for Mohd Zin to wriggle out of.

Please help to clean the corrupt image of this country. Please help to restore confidence in our national carrier.

Please remember that the critical concern behind the filing of the lawsuit is the 'safety' factor, which has been completely sidelined. How many more times do we blame accidents on 'pilot error', when in fact the weightage had been underdeclared, placing the aircraft and all its passengers in danger.
