The allegation of discrimination within the textbook loan scheme, as raised by Malaysian , is nothing new.

In Kelantan, the scheme has always been abused by Umno to get the people's support. The modus operandi is the requirement that parents get the signature and stamp of the Umno branch chief on the book loan form.

What does Umno have to do with a government-sponsored scheme? This does not get a single sen from Umno funds.

Thus, it is clear Umno has abused the scheme to intimidate and sometimes discriminate against non-BN supporters. No signature means no textbook loan.

This scandalous practice must be stopped fast since the victims are not PAS, but the future generation. Perhaps Suhakam can investigate this matter?
