I find it amusing and hilarious that the New Straits Times , as a government mouthpiece, had the audacity to publish a report from Down Under stating that Anwar Ibrahim is linked to a terrorist group.

Either the government is out of ideas or is bend on finding a bogey to spook voters as their last resort, as when Ku Li who was depicted of wearing a Kadazan headgear with the 'symbol' akin to a Christian cross more than 10 years ago.

How gullible do you think Malaysian citizens are? The government is flogging a dead horse to try to win votes. Instead, it will only make Anwar a martyr in the eyes of the public who cannot bear to see a battered and semi-paralysed individual who has the guts to fight the ruling elite and is paying for his bravado.

If the same yardstick used on Anwar is used against the other cabinet ministers, the Sungai Buloh prision will be like a summer camp. New cells will have to be build to cater for the VVIP guests.

's malicious article show how desperate the government is to win votes by any means as the recent Organisation of Islamic Conference meeting and the China trip by our ministers have not moved the public to forget the government's misdeeds and abuse of power.

You cannot pull wool on the peoples' eyes with your trickery as the citizens - be they in the urban areas and the kampong (villages) - will not fall it. After all, NST has cried wolves so many times that its credibility is next to naught.

Be patience, Anwar and family. May the Almighty give you the strength to be like Nelson Mandela as a beacon for the rakyat (people) who want a fair and transparent government. You may be in prison but your spirits continue to taunt your nemesis in 'Putridjaya'.

Just ignore the latest slanderous report and let the NST chief editor continues with his lapdog dance to endear himself to the new leader come Oct 31.
