A YB by any other name will not smell as sweet?
An Open Letter to YB N Surendran
Dear YB
You say "The public should stop calling us YB."
You. Yes. Me. No.
I will defend to the death my right to B YBeeee.
The line must be drawn HERE.
First you wanted Selangor and Penang. Fine. You got them. Take. We even threw in Kelantan because frankly we didn't want Kelantan. (Too many Kelantanese.) Then you wanted Kajang. We said Take! Take!! We can make satay in Sarawak - no problem.
But now you have gone too far. You want me to give up my Name. I know there are more pressing matters of national importance I should be bringing up in Parliament - coklat versus chocolate, guidelines on how Malaysian women should dress, infectious diseases such as LGBT, guidelines on how Gay Men do dress, free blood transfusions for people who may or may not have eaten a bar of Cadbury chocolate and whether Kim Kardashian can open our next Assembly to address our global image problem.
But all these are nothing to me now.
You say the public should stop calling me YB? I appeal to your love of Shakespeare. Did he himself not say: A YB by any other name will not smell as sweet?
Well - it's true. Being a YB sweetens all deals. Without that people may realise we stink. And that would not be good. (For us.) Some-more YBs are used to sweeteners and sweet nothings and sweet words. I am not YB without these sweet words, sweet deals and sweeteners. I can't live without them. They define me.
This is how it has always been and frankly your new fangled Oppositional ideas reek of Liberalism and Pluralism which as our PM has said are the biggest threats facing Malaysia today.
Also and of greater concern I am not sure if Cindy will stay with me if I am not a YB in my Private area as much as I am in my Public area.
So I appeal to you as a fellow YB, a fellow man and a Fellow Shakespeare Wallah retract, rescind, reverse your stand.
Regards,
YBeeee
PS I am willing to make it worth your while....
"So call me, maybee....
Cos baybee.... I'm your why-bee."
