Is it important to Muhammad Abdullah that the writer of a previously published letter is not 17 years old as he/she has claimed? He/She may or may not be 17 years old but to end his letter by saying our education is good, based on one good letter written by a 17-year-old, is like the proverbial blind man and the elephant.

Occasionally there have been reports of rare talents and geniuses among Malaysians - by the same arguments, are all Malaysians geniuses? Yes, maybe the letter sounded more like the writings of a pro-opposition reader of malaysiakini . By the same measurement I could also say that Muhammad Abdullah's letter is typical of the pro-ruling party reader of malaysiakini . So what?

It doesn't matter if Patriotic School Leaver is pro opposition or not. The writer is just voicing his or her opinion of things that are not right. It would have been better for Muhammad Abdullah to address the points raised, such as the wastefulness of Pendidikan Moral and many more issues mentioned and certainly do good for Muhammad Abdullah to give a point by point rebuttal raised in the student's letter.

The issue is not how Patriotic School Leaver managed to write so well and articulate his/her views in a such a thought provoking manner. What is important, is whether what was said is the truth? And many people cannot handle the truth.
