Farish A Noor's ' A life extraordinary: 'Ibu' Alijah Gordon 1929-2003 ' is an interesting tribute to a very interesting life, but unfortunately it left out a very significant part of her life when she played a pivotal role as Shirley Gordon, married to a local politician which coincided with the period of the decline and fall of the Labour Party.
