Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, we want to meet with you. We want to meet the very team that has begun the operation last night at Central Market and Bukit Bintang.

We want to see the centres that the folks would be taken to. We want to be part of the team when they roll out to witness what happens.

We then want to know the contact persons and their organisations who will be part of your vague plan that you have shared thus far. Here is why.

We care for those whom we have been working with to get off the streets,

1) Those who have been retrenched because their companies were downsized (an economic factor that you would claim is out of your jurisdiction),

2) Youths aged between 24 to 28 who are depressed because their jobs are given to foreign workers (an economic factor that you would claim is out of your jurisdiction),

3) Single mums whose children have no documentation because the respective system would not accommodate their situation (a glaring need for the right team to attend to this segment that is out of your jurisdiction),

4) Single mums who have green ICs to be renewed every three years and are declared orphans and adopted by other multi-racial families (a glaring need for the right team to attend to this segment that is out of your jurisdiction),

5) Couples who lack proper education to be married legally, and so that they can register their children and lead a life they have a right for (a need for the right team to be mobilised that is out of your jurisdiction),

6) Able -bodied men who need a job immediately to live (you would claim this is out of your jurisdiction).

These do not include the addicts, prostitutes, pimps, drug peddlers, con artists, homeless and orphans.

But this is your city, you were quote saying. You need to clean it up. We hear you.

You have us to talk to and you choose to rely on a small minority to make your decision. Show us who the rest of your extended team are, and we will seek your assistance to make the wrongs right.

You need not clean up the city. The change would happen if you enable it to by allowing us to be part of the positive collaboration.

We are not requesting this. We demand this from you.
