I empathise with Anwar Ibrahim over his back pain and his yearning to be out of prison. However, as a person who is now in jail following the due process of law, he has lost the privilege to demand and can only plea.

Most of his pains in many ways are figuratively self-inflicted. I do agree that he should be given the best medical treatment that is available in the country urgently. It is however may not be appropriate for him to coerce Pak Lah for an immediate release especially when Pak Lah has just taken over the leadership of the country and that elections may just be around the corner.

A wounded tiger he is and once out of prison, could just be up to anything.

We are very happy with the performance of Pak Lah and if we are really sincere about seeing our country move into the next phase of progress and development, we should not allow our self-interest to override national interest especially during this critical time.

Some may have to endure more pain than others but it is part of the sacrifices that we all have to make for the safety and well-being of our country. Anwar should know better.
