With reference to MGG Pillai's article, ' What justice for Saddam? ', I think I must give my two-sen's worth.

First, why is everyone talking about justice for former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein? Especially the Muslim world? Why didn't they raise the issue of justice for the tortured and suffering Iraqis when Saddam was in power?

They should have raised the issue at the United Nations. They should have pressured Saddam so that the people did not suffer. However, they did not. When millions of people were suffering, there was no cries for justice for the poor suffering millions.

There is now one man who has been caught. Millions of Muslim voices have been raised in outrage against the US. I find it terribly strange that the same people are talking about justice. They are asking that he was given a fair trial, that he be treated fairly, and the list goes on.

Were those tortured people treated fairly? Were they given a fair trial? It is time the millions who suffered under Saddam stand up and fight against the voices who speak out for Saddam. The millions who suffered have a right to justice too.
