In response to the letter by Robin Hood, ' Nilai's highway robbers, aka men in uniform ', I think I should not find a job related to my field of study upon graduation. The starting salary of a fresh graduate is RM2,000. Standard of living is high nowadays and I doubt that RM2,000 will be sufficient.

Instead I should go ahead and apply to be a policeman. I think it is one of the best paying jobs available. Our police department needs a bunch of policemen after all.

Let's do the math. Imagine I am a policeman with a starting salary of RM1,000, assuming it is after tax. Let us assume I can get at least three 'victims' a day, which will translate to RM150 a day. I work six days a week, in which five days I will be patrolling the road.

After some multiplication and addition, I have a total of RM4,000 a month which includes my basic salary. And the best thing is that my RM3,000 additional income is tax free. If I am fortunate enough and can get a job patrolling the road, I will be dead rich.

It would be like striking lottery. Can you tell me if there are any other jobs that pay better than this? Why should I spend my time and money getting a degree while all I need is to become a policeman? Think about all the perks and benefits that our government provides to government servants.

But deep in my heart I believe the story by Robin Hood is sheer fabrication. Remember what our beloved prime minister promised us? He will fight corruption. So there is no corruption in our country. Afterall ' Bersih, Cekap dan Amanah ' (clean, efficient and trustworthy) is the slogan.
