Gerakan Youth to lodge report if PKR doesn’t act
I refer to the allegations by PKR where they alleged that the integrity of Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim is doubtful.
PKR further claimed that earlier this year, there were a series of business transactions which the Selangor Pakatan government had awarded to a particular company, worth hundreds of millions of ringgit, which the menteri besar of Selangor has not properly explained.
Yesterday, PKR handed over to PAS a 91-page document which contained the details/evidence of the allegations and why Khalid Ibrahim should be replaced as Selangor menteri besar.
Gerakan Youth believes that if there’s evidence on any dubious business transactions awarded by the Selangor Pakatan government, then PKR has the obligation under law to report the matter to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
At this juncture, PKR still refuses to file report on the matter with MACC and reveal the details/evidence of their allegation.
Thus, Gerakan Youth hereby demands that PKR do the following:
1. Tto reveal the details and evidence of their allegation against Khalid Ibrahim and the Selangor Pakatan government, if any; and
2. To lodge a report with MACC in the event PKR believes the allegation against Khalid Ibrahim and the Selangor Pakatan government are true.
In the event PKR fails to comply with the above by Aug 8, 2014 (Friday) 4pm, then Gerakan Youth shall have no other alternative but to lodge a police report to investigate the matter on the following day.
Gerakan Youth believes that the allegations raised by PKR against the Selangor MB and Selangor Pakatan government are matters of public concern. The truth need to be known without any further delay.
TAN KENG LIANG is Gerakan Youth chief.
