This coming elections, I pledge to all Kinta valley voters (Ipoh and its suburban area) to vote against the BN for the following reasons:
1) Since the 1980s, the BN government has not brought any concrete development to this area and the Perak state in general. Instead, states such as Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor were given so much attention by the federal government while Perak is obviously lagging behind in all aspects of development.
2) The menteri besar and datuk bandar - what can we say about them? They have been giving various reasons why it is so hard to bring development to the state. The previous Menteri Besar Ramli Ngah Talib was incompetent, while the current one has not done anything much either. Ipoh's current mayor, Sirajuddin Salleh, has placed morality as his priority, such as summoning couples who hold hands in the various parks in the city.
3) The authorities have been very unfair to the local traders, especially the non-Malays. There are so many instances where these traders were fined for, small reasons, such as putting goods along the pathway during festive seasons.
I'm speaking on behalf of Kinta Valley residents who are fed up with the local council and state government. They clearly have no brains when it comes to bringing development to the city. Just think of what are they doing in the Dewan Bandaraya everyday. Probably nothing.
Enough is enough. Bring back the DAP. It is not an impossible task considering the narrow margins obtained by the BN in the Kinta Valley seats.
Ten years is enough. We cannot trust you anymore, BN.
