I'm dismayed at Joey (' To vote or not to vote '), as well as many other so?called urban intellectuals who think just like the letter writer. You have so many grouses, yet you choose to 'sit on the fence' and do nothing...

I choose to vote for the opposition, not because I hope they'll overthrow our present government (they are a long way from that), but I hope there is a semblance of opposition voice in the parliament, some sort of 'check and balance'. Imagine if every bill the government poses is passed, or passed without some resistance or even the public being aware of it till it's too late...

For people like Joey, if you do not wish to vote, then you got no right to complain, because you only deserve what you are getting.
