Corrupt leaders have pawned off our values
I find Dr Mana's letter to be most distressful as it seems to insist that Malaysians should never integrate with Malaysians of other ethnic origin. How then would Malaysians even achieve what almost all want - racial unity and acceptance to become one race only in this country?
For Malaysians to succeed we must have leaders who are not egoistic, who do not sack deputies at the slightest hint of problem - not even informing them personally but allowing them to get the news from the TV, SMS or other telecommunication channel. That is disgusting and high-handed, isn't it?
Corruption must be eradicated in line with Pak Lah's drive. For some people, however, it may be too late as items of tremendous value may have been pawned off a decade or so ago. For people who have become so poor any trust in the leader who caused them to be in this situation has long since disappeared.
