I refer to malaysiakini's report, ' Batu needs a 'rock solid' MP '. This is not the first time Tian Chua has been fielded as an election candidate as stated in the report. In 1999, he stood for the Selandar parliamentary seat in Malacca and lost to Fong Chan Onn.

In any case, I would think that Tian Chua would stand a better chance if he stood for Batu alone or in Lunas together with another parliamentary seat in the state of Kedah. By standing in both Kuala Lumpur and Kedah, he has given the public an impression of a power craze.

As a registered voter in Batu, my question to Tian Chua would be, if he won in both Lunas and Batu, where will he serve? Can he serve two constituencies in two separate locations effectively? Given the very short campaigning period, can he afford the time to campaign in both Batu and Lunas?

Honestly, as a voter, I am not impressed, let alone convinced of Tian Chua's candidacy.
