call for DAP to fight for the sole cause of the non-bumiputeras is both unpractical and unhealthy for the future progress of our beloved country.

While the MCA, MIC, PPP and Gerakan have no testicular fortitude to deal with the plight of the non-bumis, it doesn't automatically make DAP the champion of the non-bumis.

DAP must fight for the fundamental rights of all Malaysians, regardless of colour or creed.

A revamp of our current race-based policies is needed to help all those in dire need of assistance from all races. This cannot happen overnight. Taking away the privileges of the bumis would only plunge the country into chaos.

There is a need for proper education to the bumis that their continued pampering and spoon-feeding would ultimately lead to the country's demise as global economic competition stiffens.

We must reject the present batch of Umno and MCA/MIC 'yes man and women'. They have driven the bumiputeras into complacency and Pak Lah's mandate would no doubt only serve as a catalyst to the rot in the system.

In order to replace the lackluster policies of the BN, the opposition, in particular the DAP, must come to the realisation that Malaysia can only progress if we were all on equal footing.

But before all that, DAP must immediately address the issue of carrying a non-bumi image. In order the fight the BN's tyranny, DAP must do it for all Malaysians.
