Keeping it quiet, Shahidan style

How does a person like Perlis Menteri Besar Shahidan Kassim become a state leader? What he said regarding mobile phone coverage and National Service camps is tantamount to saying that a problem does not exist if no one hears about it.
I am shocked that in this day and age, a Malaysian leader can still express such a ridiculous reasoning. I hope that Shahidan is not a reflection of our nation's leaders.
To calm the Malaysian public fears that Shahidan may be representative of our nation's leaders, the prime minister should show some indication that Shahidan is a minority.
Silence from the PM may send the wrong message.
