I would like to share my experience with regards to the letter entitled 25 reasons why teachers are modern-day slaves .

I had phoned a boarding school to enquire about my brother's school fees. An administrative clerk answered me that the information about a student's fee is in the hands of the respective class teacher, and therefore I should call in an hour's time when this teacher had finished teaching.

I found this as absurd. It is the clerical staff who should handle this simple record keeping stuff, and not the teachers.

Let the teachers do what they are supposed to do, to teach.
