I read Seng's letter Why not a Radio Parliament Malaysia? with great interest. I totally agree with the idea that this would be not be burdensome to taxpayers who have an interest in listening to what our parliamentarians have to say on issues that affect the country.

I would like to point out an example of how cheap and easy it would be to set up a radio station. I have read Chin Peng's book Alias Chin Peng: My side of history which records that the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) set up Suara Revolusi Malaya, a radio broadcast station to disseminate its propaganda.

The radio broadcast started in the jungles of Malaya and then moved to China.

My point is how could a political party with no funds and little support set up a radio station while our beloved RTM with millions of ringgit is unable to do so due to lack of funds?

Information Minister Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir apparently doesn't know how much it cost to set up a radio broadcast station. He could pick up a thing or two on this from Chin Peng's book (unless, of course, it's banned reading material for ministers).
