There is no provision in the Companies Act for the office of ' adviser ' for Proton or any other national company so it can only follow that whatever passes through the lips of this so-called adviser is irrelevant.

He has cleverly not bothered to be a director (who can be sued for making exaggerated statements or for providing inaccurate information) but wants to have a say and take a peep at the 'due diligence reports' just in case the unthinkable happens and Proton gets sold off.

But I think the quicker Proton gets sold off the better so that the majority of Malaysians will not have to pay those exorbitant 300 percent duties and taxes on the foreign cars of their choice.

I don't want a Mercedes, just a spanking new Fiat Panda for 6,500 British pounds or RM39,000. I'll ship it myself but somebody just told me I first have to 'buy' an AP (what' s that? I only want a Panda - not an AP-Panda) which costs only RM40,000.

Can somebody advise?
