I refer to the letter by Confused entitled Noritta: Media slant disgusting .

The graphic portrayal of sexual innuendos in the Noritta Shamsuddin murder trial not only has hurt her and her family but justice itself.

She is dead. Her family has lost their daughter. The insensitive reporting is definitely rubbing salt into the wound.

Sensationalism has become the ultimate aim of journalism rather than the realisation of justice.

Journalists should wear the shoes of the victim and her family in order to gain perspective. How would we feel if we were the family of the victim?

In such situation what we need most is solace, comforting words from friends, relatives and those who care - definitely not what is being printed in the papers.

I wish Noritta's family can still find solace in their times of distress, and pray that justice be served.
