Do we still remember Anwar Ibrahim? Do we still remember his fight for justice? Do we still remember the shouts of reformasi? Some of us do. But some of us think Anwar is no longer relevant. As they say, out of sight, out of mind. Melayu mudah lupa .

I still remember the chaos of the 1999 elections vaguely ( I was still in secondary school). Barisan Nasional was scrambling to regain the support of the rakyat. The thing I remember most was the video of Anwar and his supporters shouting 'Reformasi! Reformasi!'. Do any of you still remember those moments? Melayu mudah lupa .

Today, Anwar is still in jail. You fought for justice back then. Why are you so ready to give up that fight? You proved in 1999 that there was more than an ounce of spirit in you that wanted change, wanted reform for this country. You proved back then that you believed in reformasi. Why have you stopped? Have you stopped believing? Melayu mudah lupa .

A lot of us feel helpless. Some of us want to help, but there's nothing we can do. However, Malaysians proved back in 1999 that there were thousands of us who believed in Anwar's fight for justice. You feel like we're on a sinking ship. You feel like we're fighting a losing battle. But we have not lost. Not yet. Have you forgotten that if we rally together, we can help bring change to Malaysia? Have you forgotten 1999? Melayu mudah lupa .

Anwar is in prison. He cannot help himself. It is up to us who are on the other side of the bars to help him. It has been a long and difficult journey for Anwar and his family. There are many more obstacles up ahead. The people need to be constantly reminded of what happened five years ago. The people need to be reminded that Anwar is still alive. And he has not given up the fight. People need to be reminded. Melayu mudah lupa .

People have been found guilty of crimes far worse than ignorance. But that is what is happening to our youth today. They simply don't care. Ignorance is bliss. They have seen so much injustices yet nothing has been done to stop them. Nobody has righted the wrong. So they have given up. You have proved once that you believe in the fight for justice. Prove it again. Prove you have not forgotten Anwar. Prove that Mahathir was wrong. Prove that Melayu tidak mudah lupa .
