I am disgusted and appalled by BlueRider's comments . He says that we non-Malays should be thankful to the Malays for them electing BN instead of PAS during the recent election and that we should therefore shut our mouth on the Malay special rights issue.

I believe that we are all equal since we all struggled together during those times before independence. We all had one motive and we worked together all those years to gain our independence.

The fact that we non-Malays are better off does in no way justify the spoon-feeding of the Malays. In reality, non-Malays worked hard to get where we are as a society and we did not rely on any special rights.

In reality also, the special rights only benefitted the upper-class Malays who probably also had connections and financial power to their advantage. I would not be surprised if BlueRider falls in this category.

You don't really see the rural, poorer Malays actually benefitting from these special rights considering that the quality of their lives never seems to improve.

Therefore, BlueRider is just an insecure man who is worried that his benefits and special rights will be taken away from him. It is as if he can't accept that he has to let go of his upper-class status to join us second-class society people down here.

Now where is the equality that we profess in?
