Never have I thought that this government of Malaysia can be so inhuman so as to not allow a fellow human being like Anwar Ibrahim to get the treatment of his choice.

Anwar, this is what you get when you are steadfast to your principles. This is the price you have to pay when you fight for the rights of ordinary people.

The most illustrious son of Malaysia - the most uncorrupt person ever to hold such a high office in the country - is denied his right for his own choice of treatment for his serious back ailment. Yet so many alleged corrupt personalities , but favoured by the powers-that-be, are out there living life to the fullest.

Where is your compassion Prime Minister Abdullah Ahamd Badawi? It shocks me to see that you as a person of strong religious background cannot show an iota of concern to a man in severe and debilitating pain.

I seriously thought that you would be different from your predecessor but I am wrong. You still have the gall to do this despite Suhakam, the custodian of Malaysians human rights, clearly stating that Anwar has the right to opt for the medical treatment of his choice.

With this Anwar episode it is clear that nothing is going to change. For the people in power, please do whatever you please. You should go round to indicting people who are uncorrupt. Those who may stand in your way you put them in jail. Anybody who is not to your liking, you arrest them under the ISA.

You should also have a secret police like the former Savak in Iran under the Shah to ensure that there is no political dissent in this country.

Forget about elections. Just organise a one-party election so that you can be assured of winning.

Anwar, we have not given up on you.
