I have been reading your reports on BN poll merchandise scandal and was so puzzled by the whole issue that I have to write this.

One hundred million ringgit worth of election paraphernalia, a wide range of products with the Barisan Nasional logo and many pictures of BN candidates printed and distributed to hundreds of BN poll centres all over the country, including Sabah and Sarawak .

This enormous operation had one and only one beneficiary - BN. And yet all the BN top guns interviewed claimed they have no knowledge of the supply of this merchandise or the company involved, Elegant Advisory. Well, I will be dammed!

To pull such a massive and enormous operation is no simple job. You will need a well-organised team which will have to plan for it well before the election date. To accomplish an operation of this size requires full cooperation from all parties plus complete information such as locations of the various poll centres.

So how can BN claimed ignorance? Further, if the merchandise (a big 'if') was indeed a free donation as claimed by BN, wouldn't it be right to find out who made the donation, especially if it is a political donation?

After all, you are accepting a donation of RM100 million - not some ordinary token amount. I know I will want to know who if I receive a donation of RM100, not to mention it is RM100 million.

So, how can BN deny involvement with Elegant Advisory? A ' con man's job ', said one member of parliament. Right. I would like to see the national or international media report this: 'Malaysian government accepted stolen poll merchandise from con man'. This would surely provide all the amusement I need until the next election.

I sympathise with those companies who supplied the merchandise. I believe many of them may be BN supporters who are hardworking businessmen. Companies that do business with BN or the government are not necessarily cronies of BN.

However, it is unfortunate and unlucky for them to have thought the general election would provide them some opportunities to added a little colour to their already pale financial reports.

Whatever the BN says or claims regarding this whole issue, it would only be proper for them to fully investigate this matter and unveil the picture of Elegant Advisory, its directors and the mysterious 'Datuk Hasan'.

This measure is needed as after all, BN is the sole and single beneficiary of this whole operation and it should prove that it is a reputable and responsible government. Not only to those who suffered (the companies) but for all the people in Malaysia too. We deserve the truth for electing and believing in this government.
