Banting’s rapid growth requires a new hospital

In view of the growing number of people seeking treatment as in-patients and out-patients, it is high time that a new multi-storey hospital is built in Banting to cater to the locals and those from the surrounding areas such as Telok Panglima Garang, Dengkil, Sg Pelek, Sepang.

A new hospital will enable more doctors and medical personnel to be posted here as well as new facilities and the latest medical technology for the benefit of the residents.

At present patients are referred to the Klang Hospital, University Hospital or KL Hospital for more complicated cases.

This involves a lot of travelling for the patients, which is both costly and time-consuming.

For critical and emergency cases ambulances can be seen blaring sirens all the way from the Banting Hospital to the Klang Hospital, which is about 35km away.

Considering the distance, the issue of life and death of the patients hangs very much in the balance.

The federal and state governments need to cooperate in building a new hospital with more facilities and employing more medical personnel to cater to the growing population.

Banting folk will be thankful.
