O’ brothers in Islam,

You call yourself brothers

Yet, kill your brethren most mercilessly

In the name of contrasting beliefs.

Even the women don’t escape your tyranny,

In the name of what you think is right.

Defile not the Book of revelations sublime

By thy misdeeds

Born of ignorance.

The spirit of the Holy One thru’ whom

The Book has emerged

Will writhe in pain,

And shed heart-wrenching tears, hot and ruddy

To see such misunderstanding

Of the Truths revealed in the Book most Holy,

Given to Man for harmonious living,

Amid the ever-rising challenges

That appear from time to time,

To face, to solve and to conquer

While in the course of purifying himself.

Come on brothers in Islam

Jihad has not been given

To judge and to battle with others,

But to battle

With one’s own weaknesses within,

And arise victorious

With full control over one’s self.
