I fully support the idea of Tamil schools being phased out in time to come. People nowadays are very sensitive and always get emotional over this issue but little do they realise that these Tamil schools are doing more harm than good.

I have a few family members that have enrolled their children into Tamil schools and on seeing the outcome, I am totally against the idea of having my own children going to Tamil schools.

What does a Tamil school have to offer for our children's future? That they can become Tamil school teachers, Tamil radio Djs and Tamil newscasters?. How much can they earn?

As it is, it's very difficult for Tamil school students to go on to international universities. One really wonders at this state of affairs.

When will this be realised by the parents?
