If Islam is not a religion of compulsion, why are some present day humans acting contrary to this?

What is to be gained or lost by the fact that the other is of your religion or not of your religion, or whether he even professes any religion at all?

What rubbish is it that “children who were unilaterally converted to Islam can get the syariah courts to recognise them as non-Muslims when they turn 18,” as a syariah lawyer was reported to have said in a Malay Mail Online article yesterday?

Isn’t the supposed cleverness of such statements by religious leaders and lawyers actually a show of stupidity - for if God created people of different colours and creeds, of different languages and beliefs, who are they to defy God?

Are they saying God was stupid to have created people different from them, so it is their duty to correct God’s mistake and make this earth a place for a single religion and culture?

In the case of forced unilateral conversion of children by a single parent, usually the father, he is actually trying to get at the children’s mother over some domestic problems or quarrels.

Thus, his own conversion to Islam is not for the love of Islam, but for the hatred of his wife. By doing so, he is able to inflict mental torture on his estranged wife with all impunity.

If he were to do the same without converting to Islam, he could land himself in trouble with the law and face punishment under civil law. Yet Islam accepts him with open arms and protects him.

Is the use of Islam for such nasty purposes by hateful non-Muslim husbands allowed by Islam?

Poor, innocent children then become the hostages of the religious authorities that give protection to the vengeful non-Muslim husbands.

There is no need to pretend not to know the udang sebalik batu (hidden intentions) of non-Muslim fathers converting to Islam together with their children but without the mothers.

Why does Islam allow these hypocritical conversions that are actually meant to inflict mental and emotional torture on the mothers whose children are taken away forcefully from them by the vengeful fathers?
