My daughter went to the Masjid Jamek station at about 10am early this week to upload four Touch 'n Go cards for herself and the family. On her way into the trains, she was pickpocketed and lost three of the cards. I called the Touch 'n Go service centre at about 11am and reported the loss and gave them the information (the MFG No) requested.

However, I was informed that other than noting in their records that these three cards have been reported lost, there is nothing they can do. They cannot cancel the card nor block the card nor refund "since this card worked on an e-card system, like a cash card."

Can someone out there please explain why the card cannot be blocked? Is the Internet and online system so inadequate? The value left on each card is RM101.95, RM115,55 and 100.29 respectively.
