DBKL lawlessness at Jalan Pekeliling
Everyday, at the Kuala Lumpur City Hall's enforcement directorate premises at Jalan Pekeliling, the 'wild, wild west' nature of the enforcement officers are everywhere and noticeable. Their offences are as follows:
- enforcement officer riding without helmets on gazetted public roads.
I hope the new City Hall mayor can have a look into this problem. It would be best to remind him that under the Constitution of Malaysia, everyone is equal before the law and DBKL staff are no exception.
One recent morning at 8.25am, a DBKL vehicle (number plate WHQ 812) overtook vehicles in front of the Masjid Wilayah mosque at Jalan Duta using the taxi lane and causing great inconvenience to other motorists.
One would have thought that there was a life threatening situation but the lorry was only rushing to stop at a food stall nearby.
