I refer to the letter Iraq war factor in tsunami aid . It is what I call anti-America illogic.

According to this illogic, nothing the US does can be good and from this prejudiced premise, every fact and figure is twisted and used out of context to suit the anti-American illogic.

Even if there were no Iraq war or Israeli-Palestinian conflict, some people would still fish out some example in America's past (such as the Hiroshima bombing) to buttress their argument that the current US tsunami relief effort is motivated by factors other than human compassion and American altruism.

Following this illogic, although Saddam Hussein had killed millions of Muslims in Iran, Kuwait and even inside Iraq (like the Shiites and Kurds), his intention was good in that he wanted to unite and strengthen the Muslims for progress and enlightenment. Therefore, terrorism and attempts to restore tyranny become 'national liberation' and 'holy war'. It is very Orwellian, isn't it?

In other words, this illogic is very simple and applicable to all situations - all bad things can be attributed to American 'arrogance', 'invasion and occupation' and 'conspiracy' and that that country is incapable of good work like what it is doing in Aceh now.
