With reference to Amin Rais's Kuala Lumpur ... oh ... Kuala Lumpur , I think he's right on target in calling KL, Bandaraya Tol (Kuala Lumpur, the toll city).
Everywhere that KL-ites go, they have to pay toll. There's are almost no non-tolled highways in the Klang Valley. Furthermore, KL-ites have to pay exorbitant toll rates for other highways when they 'balik kampung'.
Also, KL-ites pay assessment rates. All in all, KL-ites pay a lot of money for the roads. As such, why should KL-ites pay road tax? It's time KL-ites stood up and fought for their rights - no road tax, if we pay toll.
