In the past two years, much of the focus of the Malaysian people and of those who are interested in Malaysian politics has undoubtedly and deservedly been on Najib Abdul Razak, the current Prime Minister.

However, has anyone forgotten about the longest-serving prime minister of Malaysia, and his alleged cronies such as a former MCA president and a former MIC president (and even the latest former deputy prime minister), as well as their families and associates? Everyone knows how allegedly obscenely wealthy they are.

Why hasn’t anyone commenced investigations into the above-mentioned persons in regard to corruption and misappropriation of the country’s funds (money)?

It is an open secret in Malaysia that if you want to get rich, you should be a politician or a government official.

You can get rid of Najib, you can get rid of Umno and you can get rid of BN, but can you get rid of corruption in all the government departments, allegedly including the police? Do you replace the entire civil service?

The brutal reality is that corruption and non-compliance of the law are too deep-rooted and entrenched in the day-to-day lives of the Malaysian people.
