Pak Lah has a problem in that he is not a good public speaker; especially in English.

I saw part of the speech he delivered at the World Ethics and Integrity Forum 2005. The speech was dull, with poor vocal variety and with non-existent body language - just very robotic. Reminded me of George W Bush during his first term.

The speech was rather poorly written - more like some PhD thesis than an active call to action. He looked very tired and I would suggest more rest ... perhaps he is doing too much himself and does not have enough competent advisors?

Now that Pak Lah has decided on the problems to be addressed, I hope some definite and concrete steps are taken in the next three months. There is definitely very little grace period left.

Shortly after he took office, I wrote about giving him more time. I now believe he should make things happen now. After all, he is the head of the executive arm and has many resources; the most important of which is the people's mandate.

Otherwise he may go down as the prime minister who started with the most popular vote and ended up as the most unpopular PM.
