I must say the speech Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at the Harvard Alumni Club dinner was one of the most important to have come out of Putrajaya in a long time, It set the 'thinking' of the government's policy and milestone for what is the 'plan' generally.

Whether the aims are achieved or not only time will tell.

As with any other master plan, this plan of the PM, too, will most definitely be the target of sabotage by those with vested interests that must be protected at all costs. This is, after all, a human reaction.

That is to be expected but nevertheless, all levels of the rakyat must ensure that enough noise is made and attention generated to stop the sabotage from happening.

I am however curious and a tad bit disappointed as to why such an important speech was made before the selected audience of the Harvard Alumni Club. I would have thought that it would have been better it it was given at a place where all Malaysian are represented, probably at a national function such as Labour Day or even at Parliament itself.

Nevertheless, we wish our PM and his government the very best in meeting the standards as set out as it is our children and their future that is at stake.
