Water supply in parts of Kuala Lumpur, which were affected by low production of treated water supply at the Sg Langat Water Treatment Plant is being restored in stages after the plant resumed operations at 12 noon yesterday.

As at 1pm today, water supply has been restored in 41 percent of the affected areas. Water supply to premises located on higher ground and at the end of the distribution systems will take a little longer to be fully restored.

Every effort is being undertaken to expedite the restoration of water supply in affected areas. Relief water supply will continue to be delivered by water tankers until water at the service reservoirs at affected areas reach optimum level. Water supply in affected areas is expected to be fully restored by Friday (Jan 20, 2017).

Consumers are advised to use water sparingly during the restoration period to expedite water supply in the service reservoirs to reach optimum level.
