The ruling coalition can run away from their sins at home because they control the media. They can make these sins disappear and hope the public will forget about them. But as the saying goes, your sins will find you out.

The recent expose on the front-page of a Hong Kong newspaper is one such example where the Barisan Nasional's sins have found them out. Local suppliers of BN's poll merchandise for the last elections were not paid and they had no choice but to absorb their losses as a 'contribution'.

But international suppliers like the one in Hong Kong have no choice but to make the non-payment public. It is a shame that the ruling coalition has sullied the name of Malaysia by not paying their bills.

If there is any merit to learning by example, then the Malaysian public has done well in not paying their bills and taxes since the BN itself can't be bothered to pay its own general election merchandise bill.

The leader of the ruling coalition and the Election Commission should be taken to task for this and the Anti-Corruption Agency should launch an investigation into any misappropriation of funds.

This is truly is a case of 'cakap tak serupa bikin'.
