While everyone else in the Klang Valley and beyond frets about the haze coming back, we in Seremban must be the sorriest people in the whole of Malaysia. Not only do we have to contend with the foul air, we do not even have decent water supply coming out of our taps.

There seems to be no end in sight to the water rationing exercise and when the water does come through our pipes, most of it ends up down the drain because it is foul, smelly, muddy brown and totally unfit for consumption (not even to bathe in).

The state government must seriously address this inadequate water supply issue soon because the current conditions are taking a toll on our health, especially those of the children and the elderly.

If indiscriminate logging at the water catchment areas are part of the reason for this sorry state of affairs, then please do something quick. How long do they expect us to tolerate this situation?

I see that more water than usual is being wasted by each household around my area during this rationing exercise than usual. Isn't this then an exercise in futility?
